Thursday’s forecast – Windy and wet, Sigh!

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a showery end to the day. Heavy in places plenty of cloud and it’s breezy but winds have eased from the earlier peak.

Overnight – Another showery night. Some of these heavy merging into some longer spells of rain at times. It will be a mostly overcast night and winds will increase 20 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Morning and afternoon – Will see a mixture of sunshine and showers. Heavy at times. becoming drier for the Uists and Barra for the afternoon and eventually for Lewis and Harris as the showers become more scattered. Plenty of sunshine and feeling warm. It will be windy. Winds of 20 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph across the Uists and Barra.

Evening – Starting off mostly fine and dry. Plenty of sunshine but cloud increases with some light rain and drizzle later. Winds of 15 to 30 mph.

Winds will be from the South West 11C to 17C
