Monday’s forecast – Back to the wind and rain

Good evening Western Isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing a fine and dry end to the day for most. Some mist low cloud and fog in places. Winds are light and a mixture of clear skies and cloud.

Overnight – A fine and dry night. A mixture of clear skies and cloud with winds increasing. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – A dry start with some lingering mist and fog patches for Lewis and Harris. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Rain will spread in here as the morning goes on the rain will be heavy at times. Uists and Barra will see rain push in early and this will be heavy and at times persistent. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – Further spells of rain are expected again heavy at times. Some sunny spells in between. Staying windy winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – Another overcast evening with the occasional sunny spells. Further rain which at times will be heavy but mostly light. Winds of 5 to 10 mph totally easing off.

winds will be from the South and South West except for the evening come from the North and North West. Temps will range from 11C to 16C
