August rainfall so far

August is shaping up the be either the Wettest month or the second wettest month in the last 12 months after another night of heavy rainfall across the Western isles.

SEPA has 5 rain gauges across the Western isles. Here is data from 4.

As of 05:00 this morning Mill Croft South Uist has had 62.6 mm of rainfall in the last 36 hours. 198.4 mm for the month so far. 205.6 mm wettest month in last 12 which was December 2018.

As of 05:00 this morning Loch Tormasad North Uist has has had 45.4 mm of rainfall in the last 36 hours. 182.4 mm for the month so far. 255.8 mm was the wettest month in the last 12 months which was December 2018.

As of 05:00 this morning Laxdale (Harris) has had 44.6 mm of rainfall in the last 36 hours. 201 mm for the month so far. 253.6 mm was the wettest month in the last 12 months which was September 2018.

As of 05:00 this morning Creed Bridge. Stornoway has had 29.2 mm of rainfall in the last 36 hours. 155 mm of rainfall for the month so far. 201.2 mm was the wettest month in the last 12 months which was September 2018.
