Good Morning Western isles this is your morning brief
On this Wednesday morning we are seeing further heavy rain across the Uists and Barra. Showery elsewhere and it’s breezy. Some surface water and flooding in places. Brisk winds and plenty of cloud. A road closure in South Uist due to flooding at the time of writing.
Across the entire UK on Tuesday south Uist range for the second day had the lowest maximum temperature of 13.5C
And across the Highlands and Islands South Uist has the highest rainfall of 21.2 mm of rain.
Today – a cloud dominated start with further spells of rain. Slowly brightening up as the rain clears away. Allowing for some afternoon sunshine. Prolonged at times but plenty of cloud. Scattered showers and cloud increasing this evening. Breezy around 20/30 mph.
Thursday – a mixture of sunshine and showers merging into longer spells of rain. Windy with risk of gales.
Friday – now looking more settled day. Breezy with some sunshine and scattered showers.
Saturday – a breezy sunshine and showers day.
