Friday 30th August Weather Watch

Good afternoon Western isles and welcome to the latest Weather Watch blog.

On this Friday evening things at brightening up. The heaviest the rain has cleared away. We are seeing some sunshine and plenty of cloud. Winds are mostly light. Some coastal showers for the east coast.

This evening will will see a few scattered showers. Plenty of cloud. Mostly light winds. With increasing amounts of sunshine.

Saturday across the Western Isles and we going to see a showery day these will be heavy at times as we move into the afternoon and evening who is a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers it will be breezy.

Saturday across the UK and there is a cold front pushes through it’s going to see a day of sunshine and showers these will be occasionally Thundery. High-pressure starts to build across the Atlantic.

Sunday across the Western Isles will see a few scattered showers around these will be occasionally heavy at times but for most it should be a largely fine and dry day however it will feel cooler than of late.

Sunday across the UK and high-pressure starts to build in a few scattered showers around at the most it will be fine dry with plenty of sunshine.

Monday across the Western Isles and we are going to see wins increase for all parts we going to see the rain spreading in which will be heavy at times and it turns increasingly unsettled once again.

Monday across the UK high pressure stays firmly in charge for most it will be fine dry and bright day with rain and strong winds moving in for the far north and west.

Looking ahead to next week and the first week of autumn and it’s looking increasingly unsettled again with further spells of rain and blustery winds it’s also going to feel cooler as well.

In the UK weather news and the met office earlier today updated the yellow weather warning for rain for Southwest Scotland and also yellow weather warning out for rain for Northern Ireland as well. The latest information and updates on the warnings can be found via the Met Office website and app.

In global weather news hurricane Dorian is expected to become major hurricane Dorian by the end of today as it heads towards Florida. This is an increasingly dangerous situation for Florida and the national hurricane centre has the latest information which can be found via the website. Is expected to make landfall based on current projections as a category four hurricane at the start of next week.
