On this Sunday evening we are seeing some showers moving across the Western isles. These are heavy in places. Elsewhere we are seeing some sunshine. This is prolonged in places. Brisk winds and variable amount of cloud.
Overnight – The night will start off mostly dry with plenty of cloud around. Rain will start to push into all parts as the night goes on and this will become increasingly heavy and persistent. Winds of 20 to 30 mph.
Morning – Will bring rain across the Western Isles. This will be heavy and persistent at times. It will be overcast and the rain will slowly ease by late morning. Winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting 30 to 40 mph for the Uists and Barra.
Afternoon – We are going to see overcast conditions with the occasional sunny spells. We are going to see showers and some light rain and drizzle. It’s going to stay fairly windy. Winds of 20 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph at times.
Evening – Some sunny spells. The cloud is going to dominate and we will see some light rain and drizzle. For most it will become drier and winds will drop. Winds of 5 top 20 mph with lighter winds for Lewis and Harris.
