Wednesday’s forecast – Chilly, Showers and gales

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we are seeing an overcast end to the day for most with some sunny spells. Breezy conditions with some showers across Lewis.

Overnight – We are going to see an overcast night. Some light and mostly scattered showers. More clear skies across Lewis and Harris. Winds will increase 5 to 40 mph.

Morning – Will see sunshine and showers. Some of these heavy at times. Plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Afternoon – A few showers possibly merging into some longer spells of rain. Some sunshine even prolonged sunshine for a time. Winds will also increase. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 possibly 55 mph.

Evening – Is expected to be mostly fine and dry. Some decent and prolonged sunshine before sunset. Plenty of clear skies after sunset. Winds will ease a little as the evening goes on. Winds of 20 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph.

Winds will be from the North and North West apart from the earlier morning and temps will range from 7C to 14C but will feel even colder in the wind chill.
