Thursdays forecast – sunshine and showers

Good evening Western isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a largely dry end to the day. Some light showers around and winds are brisk.

Overnight – we are going to see a mixture of clear skies and scattered showers. Some heavier rain will move in during the early hours. Heaviest for the Uists and Barra. We are going to see winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Morning – the heavy rain is expected to have cleared away and we are going to see a mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered and occasionally heavy showers. Winds of 20 to 30 mph.

Afternoon – will see some decent and prolonged sunshine. A scattering of showers and variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 20 to 30 mph.

Evening – more of the same plenty of sunshine and variable amounts of cloud and scatting of showers. Clear skies and cloud after sunset and again winds of 20/30 mph.

Winds will be from the West and South West and temps will range from 8C to 16C
