Good morning Western isles and welcome to the latest weather watch blog.
Another early up date today as I am still off island.
We are seeing an overcast morning. Some light rain and a few showers around. Brisk winds gusting 30/40 mph. We are going to see some sunshine breaking through the cloud as the day goes on. The cloud will prove stubborn to clear in places.
Monday across the Western isles will see showers and sunny spells. Breezy but winds expected then what we have seen of late. Some of these showers will be heavy at times.
Tuesday across the Western isles will see little change. Breezy with a mixture of sunshine and showers.
Wednesday across the Western isles will see an overcast day with spells of light rain and drizzle. Mostly light winds. Some sunny spells but the cloud is expected to dominate.
And in global weather news. Tropical storm Humberto is expected to become a hurricane later. Slowly moving close to the Bahamas at the moment. The latest updates and information can be found via the national hurricane centre website.
And finally here are the weather extremes across the UK for Saturday.
