Good Morning Western isles this is your morning brief

On this Sunday morning we are seeing a fine. Dry start to the day. Plenty of blue skies and sunshine. Some stubborn cloud and a few mist patches. Brisk winds stronger across the Uists and Barra.

Across the Highlands and Islands on Friday stornoway was the sunniest with 11.7 hours of sunshine and Harris quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of 17.4C

Today – a fine dry day. Plenty of sunshine. Prolonged sunshine and feeling warm. Some stubborn cloud early on. Cloud will increase a little this evening bringing some patchy light rain this evening. Feeling very warm with temps possibly sneaking 20C light winds for Lewis and Harris gusting 40 mph for Uists and Barra.

Sunday – breezy and overcast with risk of some patchy rain.

Monday – showers at times and feeling cooler then of late.

Tuesday – overcast with further spells of rain.
