Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing a band of rain across Harris and the Uists and part of Barra. Most of Lewis is dry. We are seeing wind speeds gusting 50 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see some lingering rain but for most, it will clear away giving a fine and dry night but it will stay windy. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 20 to 45 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Again largely fine and dry the odd shower cannot be ruled out. We are going to see plenty of cloud but where it breaks we are going to see some decent and prolonged sunshine. It will stay fairly windy but nothing significant. Winds of 20 to 40 mph but easing slowly as the day goes on.
Evening – Some early evening sunshine. The clear skies with some cloud to end the day. Largely fine and dry with variable amounts of cloud. Winds of 5 to 30 mph.
Winds will be from the East and temps will range from 8C to 15C
