Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing a largely dry evening. A few patchy showers around. These are mainly across Lewis and Harris. Elsewhere dry but overcast with brisk winds. Some sunny spells but the cloud is dominating. Wind speeds in the early hours of this morning were stronger than expected gusting 44 mph at South Uist range.
Overnight – A largely dry night with some patchy light rain and drizzle. Brisk winds and some clear skies at times. The best of the drier weather for the Uists and Barra. Some early morning mist and low cloud. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.
Morning and afternoon – A few well scattered showers around and these will be heavy at times but for most, it should stay dry. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. The best of the sunshine will be across the Uists and Barra. Winds of 10 to 20 mph.
Evening – Cloud will increase again with patchy light rain and drizzle. Still some sunny spells. Winds will be around 10 to 25 mph.
Winds will be from the North and North East and temps of 9C to 15C
