Thursday’s forecast – Overcast.

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud with brisk winds. It’s dry.

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and cloud with some early hours sunshine. It should be mainly dry but patchy light rain and drizzle is possible. Winds of 0 to 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Mainly dry however the cloud is expected to dominate. Some sunshine at times but is no expected to be as widespread as on Wednesday. Some light patchy rain at times but for most it will be dry. Winds of 0 to 15 mph.

Evening – Some uncertainty as yet. But for most it will be dry and overcast with some sunny spells. The uncertainty lies in the timing of the late evening rainfall. Which will creep into Barra and South Uist after about 20:00. Mainly light but we could see some heavier rain for Barra.

Winds will be from the North East and North West. The wind will shift to come in from the South West by late evening. Temps of 5C to 13C

Saturday – Further outbreaks of rain and lighter winds
