Saturday’s forecast – Sunshine and showers.

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are seeing some light rain and drizzle moving across the islands. But most places are seeing a dry end to the day with brisk winds. Some late evening sunshine.

Overnight – We are going to see some showers around and these will be heavy at times. Further spells of light rain and drizzle to start the night. some clear skies with some early hours sunny spells. But for most the cloud will dominate. Winds of 0 to 20 mph.

Morning and afternoon – A fairly overcast day with a few sunny spells but for most the cloud will dominate. It will be a showery day and these will be heavy at times. Not everyone will see showers. These will decrease in frequency into the later afternoon and early evening. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Evening – A few lingering scattered showers before some heavier rain pushes into the Uists and Barra. This remain will become persistent for a times. Elsewhere mainly. dry apart from a few well scattered showers. A few sunny spells but for most, it will be overcast.

Overnight into Sunday – Further heavy and at times persistent will slowly more across the entire islands. The very heaviest across the Uists and Barra.
