On this Saturday morning, we are seeing a wetter start to the day then I was expecting with rain across most of the Western Isles. This rain is heavy in places. I expected a showery morning but this change overnight and we are seeing more prolonged rain, Winds are mainly light.

Pollen forecast for today is low

Across the Highlands and island on Friday Stornoway was the sunniest with 1.4 hours of sunshine.

Today – The heaviest of the rain today will slowly clear away. Behind it we will have a mixture of sunshine and showers. Some. decent and prolonged sunshine at times. Some of these showers will be heavy at times. Heavy and more persistent rain will move into the Uists and Barra this evening. Winds of 0 to 20 mph. Temps of 9C to 14C

Sunday – A wet night with heavy and persistent rain. Sunshine and showers thereafter. Brisk winds.

Monday – Sunshine and scattered showers.

Tuesday – Sunshine with further rain which will be heavy at times.
