Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing overcast conditions with some sunshine. It’s largely dry with some light rain and drizzle. However, rain is building to the South West and push in during the next few hours. Winds are mainly light under 10 mph for most.
This evening – Rain will start moving into the Uists and Barra later this evening. Heavy and persistent at times. Gradually extending into all parts with the cloud dominating. Winds of 0 to 10 mph.
Overnight – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times possible persistaint for the Uists and Barra for a time. Some interludes of light rain and drier conditions. The cloud is expected to dominate. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.
Morning and afternoon – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Turning increasingly showery as the day goes on. Yet again heavy and possibly with hail and thunder mixed in for good measure. Some sunshine at times. Some drier spells but showers are not expected to be too far away. Winds of 5 to 30 mph.
Evening – The heaviest of the rain becomes more confined to the Uists and Barra. Still some scattered showers across Lewis and Harris. Some sunny spells. Winds of 0 to 20 mph.
Winds will be from variable directions but mainly from the South West and temps of 8C to 14C
