Tuesday’s forecast – A showery start but sunshine later.

Good evening Western Isles on this Monday evening we are seeing some mostly light rain moving across the islands. Some occasionally heavy bursts. The cloud is dominating with some sunny spells. Blustery winds gusting to 40 mph today.

Overnight – We are going to see a chilly night ( for this time of year). The cloud will dominate. Some further showers and again these will be heavy at times. it should be dry by the end of the night. Some clear spells but these will be few and far between. Winds of 0 to 25 mph.

Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. The cloud will be stubborn to clear in places. A few scattered showers. The heaviest of these will be across Harris. Clearing away by late afternoon. Where the cloud breaks we are going to see some prolonged sunshine. Winds of 0 to 15 mph.

Evering – Any linger showers will clear away by this point. We should see prolonged sunshine for most but cloud will still prove stubborn to shift in places. Winds of 0 to 15 mph.

Winds will be from the West and North West and temps of 7C to 14C
