Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesdays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud with light winds. Some patchy light rain across Lewis but for most its dry and fine. A mixture of sunshine and hazy sunshine. Temps have recovered to 13C and 15C at Stornoway and South Uist range after a chilly night. 5C was recorded at Stornoway Airport.

Wednesday – The rest of the day across the islands will be mainly fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Hazy cloud at times. A few scattered afternoon showers which will be heavy at times mainly confined to Lewis and Harris.
Across the UK weather fronts are bring rain across England and Wales. The next area of low pressure in the Atlantic will bring further rain and blustery winds at times. High pressure builds in the Atlantic and will be the main theme for the weekends weather.

Thursday – Across the islands a mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few scattered showers but for most it will stay dry. Winds will be light from the West and North West. High pressure remains in charge.
Across the UK low pressure moves across England Wales bringing rain which will be heavy at times and blustery winds. High pressure is building in the Atlantic for most winds will be light.

Friday across the islands and high pressure is firmly in charge. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Slightly stronger winds then we have seen of late. Again coming from the NW gusting 20 to 30 mph. for most it will be dry but a few scattered showers around.
High pressure is very much in control of the temperatures across the UK. brisk winds. For most it will be fine and dry with some coastal showers in the East.

Saturday little change across the islands. It will become milder with brisk winds again gusting 30 mph. A few scattered showers but for most it will be a mixture of sunshine and cloud.
Across the UK high pressure is in charge 1029. Warmer and largely conditions.

Long range and things are looking more unsettled for the end of the weekend and into next week. However at this stage lot of uncertainty. This week was supposed to be unsettled however the Jet stream went to our South and we have fairly nice settled conditions.

The weather remains quite across the UK. We take a look at Global Weather News. Where flooding has caused issued in Japan and Tropical storm Christina is expected to become a hurricane in the Eastern Pacific on Thursday.
