Good afternoon and welcome to Wednesday Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Wednesday afternoon we are seeing spells of light rain and drizzle. These are heavy in places. We are seeing quite a lot of cloud with some sunshine. Winds under 15 mph and max temp so far today of 14C

Thursday – across the islands once again will another overcast day. Rain which on and off during the entire day. Mist and fog is also likely in the morning. Winds. Will gust 30 to 40 mph.
The bigger picture low pressure sits across Iceland 985mb. Weather fronts are bringing the unsettled weather across our islands. The rest of the UK high pressure remains in charge. Rain is expected to be confined to the North West of Scotland. Elsewhere will be largely fine and dry with plenty of sunshine.
Friday – across the islands should be drier and brighter with a few scattered showers but plenty of sunshine. Decent sunshine at times. Still some brisk. winds gusting 30 mph.
Across the UK the cold front moves Southward bringing spells of rain at times. The far south staying mainly dry. Winds light for most away from the far North.
Saturday across the islands will be a mixture of sunshine and showers these heavy at times. Winds of 10 to 35 mh.
For the rest of the UK weather fronts will bring showers that will be heavy at times. A fair amount of sunshine. Low pressure sits to the North West 994 mb.
Long range – Things are expected to stay unsettled across the Islands with sunshine and showers as we end the weekend and go into next week.
