Sunday’s forecast – More sunshine and showers

Good evening Western Isles on this Saturday evening we are seeing showers moving across the islands and these are heavy in places. In between, we are seeing some decent sunny spells. Winds gusting 40 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see a mixture of clear skies and showers. These showers again heavy at times. Some early morning sunny spells. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Further showers again these will be heavy at times. But becoming more scattered by late afternoon. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds of 10 to 30 mph. Some gusts reaching 40 mph cannot be ruled out for the Uists and Barra.

Evening – A showery evening but these at this point will become more scattered. Some sunny spells but the cloud is expected to push back in for most. Best of the evening sunshine will be across Lewis. Winds of 10 to. 30 mph.

Winds will be from the West and North West and temps of 9C to 15C
