On this Thursday morning, we are seeing overcast conditions. Light rain and drizzle with mist and fog along with low cloud. Winds are light. Drier the further south in the island chain you are.
Pollen forecast for today is low.
Across the highlands and islands on Wednesday South Uist had 15.6mm of rainfall and Stornoway airport had 5.2 hours of sunshine.
Today – The low cloud and rain, mist and fog patches will be slow to clear lingering around during the morning. However we will see the cloud break during the afternoon and we should see some decent and prolonged sunshine for most into the evening. The odd shower cannot be ruled out but for most it should be dry. Winds will stay under 20 mph. There will still be a fair amount of cloud around this evening but despite this most places staying dry.
Friday – An overcast start to the day with mainly dry conditions and a few sunny spells. Cloud will thicken during the afternoon and rain will move in. This rain will become heavy at times and accompanied by brisk winds.
Saturday – Sunshine and showers these showers heavy at times along with brisk winds.
Sunday – Sunshine and showers once again. Heavy at times with brisk winds.
