Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Saturday morning, we are seeing a mainly dull overcast start to the day. Rain and drizzle with some mist and low cloud. Some sunshine the best of that across South Uist and Barra at the moment. Winds are under 20 mph.

Pollen forecast for today is low.

Across the highlands and islands on Friday Harris Quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of. 14.5C and South Uist had the highest rainfall of 1.8mm

Today – A few showers around. Sunshine at times. The showers will become more scattered as the day progresses. Some light rain and drizzle but should become drier later. Any mist and low cloud is expected to clear late morning early afternoon. Showers will increase again into the late evening. Winds under 20 mph and temps of 11C to 17C

Sunday – Sunshine and showers once again. Heavy at times with brisk winds. Some of the showers could merge into some longer spells of rain. Slight risk of thundery showers.

Monday – Sunshine and brisk winds with further showers which again will be heavy at times.

Tuesday – Sunshine and showers with a chance of winds reaching 40 mph.
