Sunday’s forecast – More rain.

Good evening Western Isles sorry to be the bringing of bad news but tomorrow is looking rather wet again… trying to look for positives in the long range but the end of next week looks better and we could have a shot at 20C long way off as yet but will keep you posted as a lot can change between now and then but anyway on to tomorrow.

On this Saturday evening, we are seeing outbreaks of patchy mainly light rain. Plenty of cloud with some clear spells. Winds are under 20 mph. We even managed to get a sneaky 17C today in Stornoway.

Overnight – A few scattered showers across Lewis and Harris these heavy at times. The first band of rain will move across the Uists and Barra this will be heavy and persistent at times. Then moving in Harris and eventually into Lewis by mid morning. An overcast night with some clear spells. Winds of 10 to 25 mph.

Sunday day – We are going to see a band of rain moving across the islands during the morning some sunny spells but plenty of cloud. This will be followed by another band of rain for the afternoon and evening. This will be heavy and slow moving and persistent at times and eventually moving across all the islands. It won’t be raining all the time and there will be some drier spells with occasional sunny spells and a few light showers. Eventually clearing from the South late evening. Winds also increasing gusting 30 to 40 mph for a time.

Winds will be from the South West and temps of 10C to 16C
