Good evening all we are currently seeing heavy rain across Lewis with some heavier showers. Some sunshine and plenty of dry conditions. The bulk of the rain is out in the Atlantic. Winds have been gusting 45 mph.
Overnight – Heavy and slow moving rain across Lewis and Harris. Some clear spells but plenty of cloud. Elsewhere showery with mainly overcast conditions for the Uists and Barra. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.
Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Plenty of dry spells, however there will be a band of heavy at times slow moving rain pushing across Lewis and Harris. Elsewhere sunshine and showers. The heavy rain will clear away and it will be a mainly dry end to the afternoon. Winds of 0 to 20 mph.
Evening – Into the evening and winds are expected to increase again with further showery rain at times. Some sunshine and plenty of cloud. Despite this, there will still be plenty of dry conditions in between the showers. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph.
Winds will be from the South West until the afternoon and will shift to come from the North West. Temps of 9C to 16C
