Thursday’s forecast – Rain

Good evening Western Isles on this Wednesday evening we are seeing a mainly dry evening with plenty of sunshine across the Uists and Barra. More cloud for Lewis and Harris with some patchy light rain. Winds are under 20 mph.

Overnight – We are going to see an overcast night. Some mainly light rain for the Uists and Barra. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 0 to 20 mph.

Morning – Overcast with some rain moving into the Uists and Barra. Expected to be mainly dry for Lewis and Harris with some sunshine here and plenty of cloud. Winds of 20 to 30 mph.

Afternoon and Evening – Rain will move across the entire islands. This rain will be heavy at times and could even become persistent across the Uist and Barra for a time. Winds will also increase across the Uists and Barra. Starting drier for Lewis and Harris with the rain expected to reach here late afternoon and into the evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph. Some gusts reaching 50 mph cannot be ruled out.

Winds will be from the North East and from the South East.
