Wednesday morning brief

Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing a mainly dry morning with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. A few showers around. These are mainly across Harris at the time of writing. Winds are under 15 mph.

Pollen forecast for today is low.

Across the highland and islands on Tuesday Stornoway was the sunniest with 6.3 hours of sunshine.

Today – A few lingering showers this morning but for most they should clear during the afternoon and evening. It should become mainly fine and dry with plenty of sunshine. The best of this will be across the Uists and Barra. A few of the morning showers will be heavy but most will be light. Winds easing further as the day goes on under 10 mph by tonight. Temps of 8C to 15C

Thursday – Winds are gusting 30 to 40 mph during the day. Rain at times which will be heavy especially across the Uists and Barra.

Friday – It is going to be a warm day. However its no longer looking likely that we will break the 20C mark. A few showers and sunny at times. Brisk winds.

Saturday – Mainly dry brisk winds with a few scattered showers.

Have a great day.
