Good evening Western Isles on this Thursday evening we are seeing rain move across the entire Western Isles. This will be heavy in places and some spots even persistent. Winds under 15 mph for Lewis gusting 40 mph across the Uists and Barra.
Overnight – We should see a mainly dry night. The odd lingering spell of rain cannot be ruled out. A largely overcast night for Lewis and Harris but clear skies will form for the Uists and Barra. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph. A slight chance of reaching 50 mph.
Morning and afternoon – A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Outbreaks of rain which could for a time merge into some longer spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Some decent sunny spells at times. It is going to feel warm with a chance of temperatures reaching 20C. The rain will be later in the day reaching Lewis and heaviest for the Uists and Barra. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.
Evening – As we go into the evening we are going to see the rain clear away fro most. Some lingering rain across Lewis. it should be mainly fine and dry with some sunshine. Winds will also start to ease. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.
Wind will be from the South East and later from the South West and temps of 11C to 20C
