On this Thursday morning, we are seeing outbreaks of rain. Lighter rain across Harris and parts of Lewis. it’s overcast for most with some sunshine. Winds under 20 mph and the overnight low was 6C
Pollen forecast for today is low.
Across the highland and islands on Tuesday Stornoway was the sunniest with 1.0 hour of sunshine.
Today – Showery rain for the morning across the Uists and Barra and at times Lewis and Harris. Some sunshine at times the best of this across Lewis and Harris. Cloud will thicken in as the day goes on. We are going to see bands of heavy rain move across the islands during the afternoon and evening. These will be heavy at times and we could see some persistent rain across the Uists and Barra but this is expected to be short lived. Winds will strengthen as the day goes on. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph possibly reaching 50 mph across the Uists and Barra later. Temps of 11 to 16C
Friday – A day of sunshine and showers. These heavy at times. It will feel warm with temps heading towards 20C staying windy with wind gusting 30 to 45 mph. Strongest for the Uists and Barra.
Saturday – Mainly dry brisk winds with a few scattered showers.
Sunday – Sunshine and scattered showers along with brisk winds.
