On this Friday morning, we are seeing a windy start to the day and it’s also warm. We are seeing temperatures reaching 18C already thanks to the SE airflow and winds overnight gusted 57 mph. Not as strong across Lewis. This morning we are seeing rain across parts of the Uists and Barra which is heavy in places. Elsewhere its mainly dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud.
Pollen forecast for today is moderate
Across the highland and islands on Thursday Harris Quidnight was the wettest with 16.4 mm of rain.
Today – Further spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Parts of Lewis will stay dry and overcast with some sunny spells. Elsewhere the rain will be on and off throughout the day. All this should mainly clear away by this evening to give fine dry conditions with some sunshine. Some lingering light rain for Lewis. Winds gusting to 40 mph easing as the day goes on. Some gusts reaching 50 mph this morning cannot be ruled out. Temperatures could reach 20C for a time.
Saturday – Mainly fine dry and sunny morning and afternoon. But increasing risk of showers for the evening. These should be well scattered. Winds gusting 30 mph and still feeling mild.
Sunday – Sunshine and scattered showers along with brisk winds.
Monday. – Sunshine and scattered showers again. Breezy once again.
