Hottest day of the year.

It’s been the 3rd hottest day on record for the UK.

For us in the Western Isles, 19C was the highest at both South Uist range and Stornoway. Neither of these break the highest temperature for the year in the Western isles.

These are currently the highest temperatures of the year so far for the Western isles

37.8C was the highest temperature record today at Heathrow.

The Scottish all time record is 33C set in August 2003.

In the Western isles we still August left to see if we can get higher temperatures. I would settle for some sunshine.
