Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief

On this Monday morning, we are seeing a band of heavy showery rain move West to East across Lewis and parts of Harris that has almost cleared. Aside from that, it is a mainly dry start to the day. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. The cloud is mainly dominating. Winds are under 20 mph and the overnight low was 8C

Pollen forecast for today is low

Across the highland and Islands on Sunday Stornoway had
the lowest minimum temperature of 8.8C

Today – Plenty of cloud with some sunshine at times. Some decent spells but for most the cloud will dominate. A few showers but fairly well scattered and at times they will be heavy. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Tuesday – Heavy and at times persistent rain. Winds gusting 30 to 40 mph possibly 50 mph for the Uists and Barra.

Wednesday – Overcast with showers. But drier and brighter later with sunshine. Brisk winds and feeling mild.

Thursday – Mainly fine and dry with some cloud and the occasional shower. Feeling mild.
