Good morning Western Isles this is your morning brief
On this Thursday morning, we are seeing fairly overcast conditions with some light rain and drizzle. But for most its fine and dry with some hazy sunshine. Winds are under 15 mph. Overnight low of 12C
Pollen forecast for today is Moderate
Today – For most it will be a fine and dry day. We are going to see plenty of sunshine. Prolonged sunshine at times however the cloud will prove stubborn and slow to clear so the sunshine could be hazy. There will be some patchy light rain and drizzle. However, some longer spells of rain could be possible this evening. Winds will also be a feature. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph across the Uists and Barra gusts into the evening reaching 50 mph can not be ruled out. It will feel warm today. We could see 20C the greatest chance of that will be on the West side of Lewis
Friday – Sunshine and showers these heavy at times with brisk winds and feeling mild.
Saturday and Sunday – Fine dry and sunny. Breezy.
Next week – Yes all next week is looking fairly settled. Just in time for the kids going back to school….. Sorry teachers please don’t lynch mob me…. Things can change between now and then will depend on the placement of fronts and any weather moving up from the South but this is our best chance of a spell of settled weather since the spring.
Have a great day.
