Week ahead forecast

Week ahead forecast – A mainly settled week but could see some thunderstorms mid week

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a much needed beautiful weekend across the islands. Things will stay settled.

A reminder the Met Office has yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms for the islands for Tuesday and Wednesday. See the Met Office website or app for the very latest.

Tuesday – Overnight Monday into Tuesday we could see some thundery showers for a time. Tuesday itself mainly dry with sunshine and cloud warm but again risk of some thundery shower. Winds of under 10 mph and temps of 12 to 19C

Wednesday – We could see some thundery showers as we go into the early hours of Wednesday. But lots of uncertainty as yet. For most, it will be fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Light winds under 10 mph. Temps of 12C to 18C

Thursday – a lot of uncertainty as yet and I know I am using that word a lot. But that is how the week is panning out. Rain is possible with stronger winds and the rain could be thundery. Temps of 12C to 15C

Friday – back to fine dry and settled conditions with plenty of sunshine and light winds. Winds under 10 mph. Temps of 10C to 18C

Long range – Another fine and settled weekend with light winds.

I hope you have a great week. Over the course of the coming week, we will keep you updated with the latest weather and the 3 day ahead forecasts. Keep an eye on the blog for extra updates!
