Parts of Lewis remain under a Met office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms this evening until midnight. The full warning and latest updates can be found via the Met Office website or app.
We remain under a flood alert from the Scottish Environment protection agency.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing mainly fine and dry conditions with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. More cloud across the Uists and Barra. Winds under 10 mph and max temp of 8C
Wednesday – Across the islands we are going to see more in the way of cloud. It should be a fine and dry day with some sunshine. Winds from the north will make it feel a touch cooler than of late. Some early morning mist and fog patches are possible.
Across the UK mainly fine and dry with thunderstorms clearing the North East of Scotland. Warm and very hot in the South East again. Further outbreaks of thundery showers. Winds will be light.
Thursday – Across the islands another fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Feeling warm again with light winds.
Across the UK further thundery showers heavy at times. Drier across the North with more settled conditions.
Friday – Across the islands a fine and dry sunny day. Warm again with light winds.
Across the UK showers and spells of rain for England and Wales. Heavy and possibly thundery. Drier and brighter for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
long range – Next weekend looks set to be fine dry and sunny again.

Hurricane Elida looking stunning today in the Eastern Pacific as it strengthens to a Category 2 hurricane. No threat to land.
