Good afternoon and welcome to Thursday’s Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Thursday afternoon we are seeing blue skies and sunshine for most away from most of Lewis where it is still grey and overcast here sunshine should break out. Winds are mainly under 20 mph and max temp so far of 16C

Friday – across the islands is expected to be a fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds will be light. Temps up to 18C
Across the UK high pressure is in control but thundery showers in the South. Drier with sunshine elsewhere. Mist low cloud and fog the East Coast worst impacted area being East and North East Scotland.
Saturday – Another fine and dry day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud across the islands. Winds will be light again and temps in the mid to high teens.
Across the UK fine and dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Thundery showers again possible for England and Wales.
Sunday – Another fine and dry day with a mixture of sunshine and cloud across the islands with light winds. Temps in the mid to high teens.
For the UK fine dry and sunny for Scotland and Northern Ireland but further thundery showers in England and Wales.
Long range – No sign of rain or more unsettled conditions across the Western Isles till at least next Wednesday.

Not much change in the state of play with a tropical depression in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific with ex hurricane Elida weakening fast.
