Good afternoon and welcome to Saturdays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Saturday afternoon we are seeing a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Plenty of coastal mist and fog with low cloud. Winds are light. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Max temp so far today 17C

Sunday – Across the islands we are going to see a mixture of susnhine and cloud with a mixture of low cloud and fog at times. Winds will be light. Where we do see sunshine it will be prolonged. Feeling warm in the sunshine. Winds under 10 mph and a max temp 19C
Across the UK mainly settled across Scotland and Northern ireland. More cloud for the East Coast. Thundery showers again in the South.

Monday – Across the islands. A mixture of sunshine and cloud. Some mist and low cloud early on. Winds will be light and it should stay dry.
Again further showers which at times will be thundery. Some prolonged sunshine. The far North West should stay dry but elsewhere will see showers.

Tuesday – Overcast with some light rain and drizzle. Some sunny spells and winds are expected to be light.
Across the UK on Tuesday and more widespread showers which again will be heavy. Winds will be light.

Long range – Some uncertainty as yet for the middle of next week which could see more unsettled conditions with outbreaks of rain at times. A chance of some strong winds. I will look in closer at this in the week ahead forecast tomorrow evening.

Large potions on the USA where hit last week by a Derecho and caused huge amounts of damage. Iowa has been particularly badly impacted.

Into the tropics and its the tail of the meandering tropical storms. With Josephine and Kyle both away from land and at this stage minimal tropical storms. Last night Kyle became the 11th storm of 2020 hurricane season.

What is strangely interesting too is tropical depression Ten in the Eastern Pacific. It is moving very slowly west, but is persisting. Not strengthening, but not about to dissipate either.
