Across the Highlands and Eilean Siar on Tuesday Stornoway was the sunniest with 8.2 hours of sunshine.
Today – A mainly fine and dry once again with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. Winds will start off light but will increase as we go into the evening gusting 30 mph to end the day. Feeling warm again. Some light rain and drizzle cannot be ruled out and there will be some lingering mist and low cloud patches. Max temp of 20C
Thursday – A mixed day. Heavy rain to start the day with clear away to sunshine and cloud with a few showers. These will increase in frequency again as we go into the evening. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph possibly reaching 50 mph and some spots across the Uists and Barra could see 60 mph. Hopefully, firm up on these details for you in our evening forecast. Some decent and prolonged sunshine in the breaks in the cloud. Despite the winds, it will feel warm.
Friday – Further showers again heavy merging into some longer spells of rain at times. Strong winds gusting 30 to 40 mph possibly 50 mph. Easing off as we go into the evening.
Saturday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds and feeling cooler.
