Week ahead forecast – Unsettled mid week

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a fairly settled weekend across the island. it has been a chilly one but plenty of sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. Next week turns more unsettled.

Tuesday – A day of sunshine and showers with blustery winds. Feeling milder of late. Some of these showers will be heavy at times. Will be gusting 20 to 30 mph from the South and South West and temps of 13C to 17C

Wednesday – Will be a windy day. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph and possibly some winds gusting 60 mph in more exposed coastal areas. Something we are keeping an eye on. We are also going to see some heavy and persistent rain. The worst of this is expected during the day time. Feeling mild again. Winds will be from the South and South West and temps of 11C to 17C

Thursday – A day of sunshine and showers. These will be blustery and occasionally heavy at times. Winds will be around 20 to 40 mph from the South and South West with temps of 10C to 17C

Friday – Another wind day with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Sunshine and showers throughout the winds will be from the South West and temps of 7C to 13C

Long range – Things are expected to settle down again however it will turn cooler again.
