On this Monday morning, we are seeing an overcast start to the day for almost everyone. Winds are light and some light rain but most places are dry with some hazy sunshine. it ended up being a milder night then we were expecting with an overnight low of 11.4C Winds this morning under 10 mph.
Pollen forecast for today is Low ( This is the last day of the pollen forecasts for this year unless the rate rises to moderate or higher)
Across the Highlands and Eilean Siar on Sunday, Stornoway Airport was the sunniest with 5.3 hours of sunshine and Harris Quidnish had the highest maximum temperature of 16.5C
Today – After an overcast start, the cloud should start to clear away to allow for some decent and prolonged sunshine during the afternoon and early evening before cloud pushes back in later. It should be a mainly fine and dry day for most but a few isolated scattered showers are possible later. Some rain and drizzle is expected overnight into Tuesday but this could arrive before midnight. Winds will increase as the day goes on gusting 30 mph. Winds coming from the South and South West and temps in the mid teens.
Tuesday – A milder day with spells of light rain and drizzle blustery winds and some heavier showers later.
Wednesday – Windy day throughout with a peak of the winds during the late morning and early afternoon. Winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. The Uists and Barra could see 60 mph during the peak of the winds. We are also going to see heavy and slow moving rain.
Thursday – Sunshine and showers with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph throughout.
