Good afternoon and welcome to Mondays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing mainly overcast conditions with some hazy sunshine. It is dry with brisk winds. There should be some sunshine before the day is out but cloud is proving a stubborn feature of the weather so far today. A milder day with the max temp so far today of 14.9C and winds gusting up to 30 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK outlook follows below)
Tuesday – An overcast day with outbreaks of rain. These will be heavy at times. Some drizzle overnight. Winds will be brisk gusting 20 to 30 mph possibly reaching 40 mph in some spots. Some sunshine in the the breaks in the cloud. Milder temperatures then we have seen of late getting up to 16C Winds will be from the South and South West.
Wednesday – Will be a windy day across the islands. Cloud will dominate. We will see winds gusting 30 to 40 mph and at times reaching 50 to 55 mph for the Uists and Barra. This will be accompanied by outbreaks of rain which will be heavy at times.
Thursday – Another fairly windy day with sunshine and showers. Winds will be brisk again gusting 30 to 40 mph. It will stay mild. Some sunshine in between the showers.
UK Forecast – Tuesday across the UK and the best of the dry sunny weather for England and Wales. Rain for the West Coast of Scotland and the outer hebrides. Feeling warm then of late. Rain moves across the entire UK on Wednesday which will be heavy at times. It will be a windy day with the strongest winds for the West and North West of the UK. Thursday showers for most to start but becoming confined to the North West of Scotland the Western Isles later in the day.
