On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing our first gale of the season. Winds have gusted to 45 mph. Its a mainly overcast morning with some rain. Some hazy sunshine but the cloud is mainly dominating. Overnight low of 12.9C

Across the UK on Tuesday Harris Quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of 13.6C

Today – it will remain windy today. We are going to see winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. We could see winds gusting 60 mph during the late morning and early afternoon across the Uists and Barra. We are currently seeing spells of rain and drizzle. Further spells of heavy rain will move across the islands during the afternoon. Once this clears we will see showery rain and this could be thundery at times. Winds will be from the South and South West and temps of 12C to 16C

Thursday – Sunshine and showers. These heavy at times. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Staying fairly windy. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph.

Friday – Again another day of sunshine and showers with brisk winds.

Saturday – Windy start but the winds will ease as the day goes on. Showery start but drier later.
