On this Thursday morning, we are seeing a mainly overcast start to the day with some sunny spells. Winds are brisk again gusting 40 mph. But lighter for Lewis at the moment. Some showers which are heavy in places. Overnight low of 13.2C

Across the UK on Tuesday Harris Quidnish had the lowest maximum temperature of 15.1C

Today – We are going to see a mixture of sunshine and showers. Some decent and prolonged sunshine at times. Winds are going to be brisk and increase again into the evening. Winds of 30 to 40 mph gusting 50 mph this evening with the strongest being across the Uists and Barra. Showers throughout the day but these will be fairly well scattered at times so not all will see the showers. Some of these showers into the evening will merge into some longer spells of rain.

Friday- Sunshine and showers. These heavy at times. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Staying fairly windy. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph.

Saturday – Windy start again gusting 40 mph but the winds will ease into the evening. Risk of rain into the evening.

Sunday – Dry light winds mainly cloudy. Chilly.

Long range – Staying unsettled windy with spells of rain
