Saturday’s forecast – Wind finally eases but showers lingering

Good evening Western Isles on this Friday evening we are still seeing outbreaks of rain which are heavy in places. Winds gusting up to 40 mph. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Max temp today of 14.4C

Overnight – We are going to see further spells of showery rain which will be heavy at times. A mixture of clear skies and cloud. Winds of 10 to 30 mph gusting 40 mph for the Uist and Barra.

Morning and afternoon – We are going to see a mixture of sunshine and showers. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine in between with variable amounts of clowns. The showers heavy at times and some will merge into some longer spells of rain. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Evening – Further showers but becoming more scattered. Drier spells. Winds will ease for most under 20 mph and by the end of the evening under 10 mph.

Winds will be from the North West and Temps of 7C to 14C
