On this Monday morning, we are seeing a windy start to the day. Winds gusting to 44 mph and we are seeing spells of rain which are heavy. The heaviest of the rain has cleared for most parts with rain and drizzle. Overnight low of 12.5C

Across the highland and Eilean Siar on Sunday Stornoway was the sunniest with 6.1 hours of sunshine.

Today – We are going to see further rain which at times will be heavy but as the day goes on we will see spells of rain which will be lighter with some drizzle at times. Some mist low cloud at times. It will stay windy during the whole day gusting 30 to 40 mph. With the strongest winds gusting 50 mph at the moment. The cloud will dominate with some occasional sunny spells. Max temp of 15C

Tuesday – Overcast and showery with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Rain increases during the afternoon and evening which will become heavy at times.

Wednesday – Sunshine and showers with brisk winds again. Winds gusting 40 mph.

Thursday. – An overcast mainly dry day with light winds to start but increasing later. Gusting 40 mph.
