Good afternoon and welcome to Tuesdays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Tuesday afternoon we are seeing spells of rain moving across the Islands. Overcast conditions with some sunny spells. Highest temp so far of 15.4C and winds gusting 20 mph.

Western Isles forecast – (UK outlook follows below)
Wednesday – We are going to see a showery day. Some of thse heavy at times not all will see showers. We are going to see some sunshine. Decent and prolonged spells of sunshine with variable amounts of cloud. It will start off windy with winds gusting 20 to 40 mph but easing under 20 mph by the evening. Winds will be from the West and North West and temps of 9C to 15C
Thursday – Another fairly windy day with winds coming from the South West gusting 20 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph into the evening. Mainly dry morning but showers and some rain afternoon into the evening. Low pressure sits over Iceland and associated fronts bring us the unsettled conditions.
Friday – Low pressure sits to the North of us bring windy conditions again with further spells of rain again mainly in the morning. We are going to see winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Sunshine and variable amounts of cloud.
Wednesday for the UK becoming fine dry and settled as rain clears away. Some rain lingering for the North West of scotland. Brisk winds. Feeling warm. Mainly fine and dry for much of the UK on Thursday. Rain in the North West of Scotland. Away from here plenty of sunshine and patchy showers. Friday rain for Scotland and the heaviest in the morning. Rain Into Northern England and Northern Ireland. Dry and fine sunny for most of England as the rain eases before arriving here.

We have tropical storm Rene in the Atlantic which is bring wind and rain to the Cabo Verde islands
and there is tropical storm Paulette which at this stage is no threat to land.
