Wednesday’s forecast – Breezy and showers improvements later.

Good evening Western Isles on this Tuesday evening we have sen the heaviest of the rain move away. We are seeing some lingering showers with plenty of cloud and some clear spells. Winds under 20 mph. Today’s high temperature of 15.4C

Overnight – we are going to see some clear skies but for most, it will stay overcast with some showers around and these heavy at times. Winds of 10 to 30 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Some decent and prolonged sunshine at times. Despite this, there will still be plenty of cloud and squally showers these will be heavy at times. Most frequent in the morning. Winds of 20 to 40 mph.

Evening – A few showers around but these will decrease in frequency. Some of them will be heavy at times. Some early evening sunshine but plenty of cloud with some clear skies after sunset. Winds will ease under 15 mph.

Winds will be from the West and North West and temps of 9C to 14C

Thursday – Sunshine and showers with winds increasing some heavier spells of rain into the early evening.

Friday – wet and windy throughout winds gusting 30 to 40 mph at times reaching 50 mph.

Saturday and Sunday – A lot of uncertainty as yet but been some hints of some very heavy and persistent rain across the islands with winds gusting 50 possibly 60 mph. This is not guaranteed and like I mentioned a lot of uncertainty so keeping an eye on it.
