On this Wednesday morning, we are seeing squally heavy showers moving across the island. Some sunny spells in between plenty of cloud with brisk winds. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph strongest across. the Uists and Barra at the moment. Overnight low of 10.1C
Across the highland and Eilean Siar on Tuesday, South Uist had the lowest maximum temperature of 14.7C
Today – further spells of squally rain these becoming less frequent as we go into the late afternoon and evening. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. Staying windy but easing into the evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph but under 20 mph this evening. Temps of 8C to 14C
Thursday. – Light winds to start the day but the increase as the day goes on gusting 30 to 40 mph. Spells of showery rain with some longer spells of rain during the afternoon. Some sunshine in between the spells of rain.
Friday – Heavy overnight rain becoming persistent at times. Staying showery throughout the day. Staying windy throughout with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph possibly reaching 50 mph.
Saturday – Another windy day with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Further spells of heavy rain. Becoming heavier overnight Saturday into Sunday.
