Week ahead forecast – Slow improvements

Welcome to the week ahead forecast. The full in depth forecast for Monday can be found in the update below this one. It has been a very wet weekend across the islands with Sunday seeing the heaviest of the rain.

Tuesday – An overcast day with spells of rain which will be heavy at times. Winds will be lighter and it will be a milder day. Somes sunshine times. Winds will increase into the evening. Winds will be from the West and South East. Temps of 11C to 17C

Wednesday – A fine dry and sunny day with variable amounts of cloud. Variable amounts of cloud. It will be a breezy day with winds gusting 30 to 40 mph. Winds will be from the East and South East. Temps of 9C to 14C

Thursday – Sunshine and cloud. Some decent and prolonged spells of sunshine. It should be mainly dry. Winds will be from the South and it will feel milder again. Winds will be from the South and South East. Temps of 10C to 17C

Friday – Sunshine and showers. These heavy at times. Winds of 0 to 20 mph. Some decent and prolonged sunshine. Winds will be from the South and South West. Temps a little cooler 8C to 14C

Long range – A fairly settled weekend but cooler with sunshine and cloud mainly dry. A long way off yet so plenty can and will change between not and then.
