Monday’s forecast – Overcast with blustery winds and rain later and Week ahead forecast – Turning cooler but more settled.

Good evening Western isles on this Sunday evening we are seeing overcast conditions with spells of rain and drizzle. Some mist and low cloud. Winds remain light. Today’s high of 15.9C

Overnight – We are going to see an overcast night with some spells of drizzle and light rain but most places are expected to stay dry. Some clear skies. Winds of 20 to 35 mph.

Morning and afternoon – Mainly overcast with some sunshine. Hazy sunshine. Some rain and drizzle mainly light during the afternoon. Winds of 20 to 30 mph some gusts could reach 40 mph for a time,

Evening – Overcast with further spells of rain which at times will be heavy. Turning persistent towards the end of the evening across Lewis and Harris. Winds of 20 and 30 mph.

Winds will be from the South West and temps of 10C to 16C

Tuesday – Heavy and persistent overnight rain which will slowly clear away with winds gusting 40 to 50 mph. Temps dropping to single figures by the evening. Temps of 9C to 14C

Wednesday – Sunshine and showers. Feeling cooler with temps struggling to get into the teens. Lighter winds. Temps of 5C to 11C Winds under 20 mph.

Thursday – Overcast with some sunny spells feeling cool. Winds will be light. Temps in the low double figures. Temps of 5C to 11C. Winds under 20 mph.

Friday – Fine dry and sunny but cool temps in the high single figures. Temps of 6C to 11C. Winds under 20 mph.
