Good afternoon and welcome to Mondays Weather Watch taking a look at the weather for the islands, the UK and around the Globe.
On this Monday afternoon we are seeing rain moving across the islands. This rain is heavy in places. Winds are gusting 30/40 mph.

Western Isles forecast
Tuesday – Heavy and persistent overnight rain which will last into the morning. We are there going to sunshine and showers for the rest of the day once the heavy rain clears away. Winds will gust 40 to 50 mph possibly 60 mph for a time during the morning. Dropping to under 20 mph by late evening and temps will drop into single figures.
Wednesday – A much calmer day with sunshine and cloud. Light winds and a few scattered showers. A cool start today with temps possibly getting as low as 4C but getting into double figures during the day. Winds under 20 mph.
Thursday – Another chill day as cold air comes down from the North. Low pressure sits off the coast of Norway and drages some cold air down. A mixture of sunshine and cloud with a few scattered showers. Winds staying light but overnight temps getting down to 4C to 7C

The tropics remain active with Hurricane Teddy passing close by to Bermuda today
Tropical Storm Beta will make landfall today in Texas bringing with it life threatening surge and strong with winds heavy rain.
